How To Sign Up for VigLink?

Signing up for VigLink is a quick and easy process so to get started, navigate to https://www.viglink.com/.

Having said that, in order to join the Amazon Associates program, you must have a mobile app or a website to signup.

Next, I would like to compare the pricing for each affiliate network. The good news is : both VigLink and the Amazon associates program are free to join. However, with Amazon, you need to meet a certain quota.

Having said that, in order to be accepted into the Amazon’s Associates program, you are required to get 3 sales in the first 180 days of joining the program.

On the other hand, VigLink does not have a quota requirement for its affiliates. Approval for VigLink is somewhere between 48–72 hrs and you will be sent an email notifying you whether your site has been approved or in some cases, requesting more information.

Some people are also successfully using Viglink to monetize social media posts, although I've never done this. But one can only imagine the possibilities.

So, What's in it for Viglink?

If you sign up for Viglink, approval for Amazon is not automatic. Don't assume your Amazon links will automatically affiliate unless you check your account. To do this, go to your dashboard. Then click on the "tools" tab. You will then go to the Merchant Explorer page. Search to see if you are approved for Amazon. If you see a gray box that says "restricted," it means you are not approved.

Can You Use Viglink on Hub Pages?

Viglink cannot be used on Hub Pages. However, I don't consider this a drawback because it's important for online writers to diversify, as much as possible. At this point, I don't want to use any single system to consolidate my earnings, because it's too risky, as many unfortunate Squidoo writers found out when the site experienced a massive decline in traffic last year, a factor that undoubtedly led to the closing of the site. Some people were earning thousands of dollars a month there, so they suffered greatly.

I'm also not sure I'd want to use Viglink, or any one affiliate network, as my primary income stream, although many successful publishers do use it exclusively.

Skimlinks is another large network similar to Viglink. However, I have no personal experience with Skimlinks.

Oliver Roup, founder and CEO of VigLink, spoke with AllFacebook about how the service can help Facebook page admins:

Dashboard allows you to view your performance from a combination of attributes most important to your content strategy, giving you insight into how to exponentially grow your profits.


How quickly does the Dashboard update?
There are common reasons for a discrepancy. First, there is a slight delay in the Dashboard. Page views show within the day, clicks within 1-2 days, and revenue typically within 2-5 days. This delay is represented by the dotted lines that cover the last five days. Note that page views will only be tracked if you are using the Javascript.
What are CTR and EPC?
CTR stands for click-through rate. We calculate your CTR by dividing your total number of clicks by impressions and multiplying that number by 100.
EPC stands for earnings per click. We calculate your EPC by dividing your revenue by your total number of clicks. Note that EPC is a calculation; it is not a guaranteed flat rate that you will earn per click (CPC rate).
I know I had a sale for a travel/event merchant, but don’t see revenue in my Dashboard. Why?
Most merchants pay a commission on the day of the sale, which in turn will typically reflect in the Dashboard within 2-5 days. However, event-based merchants (travel, hotels, sporting events, etc.) typically pay a commission after the event has completed.
Can my Dashboard be displayed in a currency other than USD? How does Sovrn //Commerce calculate exchange rates?
Sovrn //Commerce only reports and pays out in the U.S. dollars (USD). In cases where other currencies are initially involved, Sovrn //Commerce queries the Open Exchange Rates’ API to calculate the conversion. More about Open Exchange Rates can be found at their website.
